المستخلص Research problem:(What is the proposed perception of Geographic course that is based on self-learning for the development of environmental responsibility for the students of the Department of Geography, Faculty of Education, University of Hajjah, Republic of Yemen). Research approach: Descriptive approach was used in the theoretical study, and quasi-experimental approach in a field study. Procedures: -Prepare a list of some Environmental issues of the proposed course of environmental geography. -Analyze goals and vocabulary of the academic plan for the Department of Geography, Faculty of Education Hajjah based on that list. - Put suggested perception for the course of environmental geography. -Choose seven subjects of the suggested perception of subjects, and design them in a form of educational modules (Environmental Geography - Environmental pollution - natural resources - global warming - the environmental footprint - desertification - remote sensing). - Use the quasi-experimental approach based on single-group experimental design. -Prepare a tool to measure the development of environmental responsibility with the Department of Geography students – a measure of environmental responsibility - including axes (Responsible environmental behavior and locus of control and environmental decision-making). - Apply the measurement tool earlier, pre-measurement, on the experimental group. - Study the experimental group of seven educational modules. - Apply the measurement tool later, post measurement, on the experimental group. -Results: Statistical analysis was performed using appropriate statistical methods, to verify the validity of the statistical hypotheses, the current research found the following results: * There is statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the averages of the experimental group students’ marks in the two applications; the pre and post, and it is for the axis of the responsible environmental behavior, in favor of the post application. * There is statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the averages of the experimental group students’ marks in the two applications; the pre and post, and it is for the axis of the locus of control, in favor of the post application. * There is statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the averages of the experimental group students’ marks in the two applications; the pre and post, and it is for the axis of the environmental decision-making, in favor of the post application. * There is statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the averages of the experimental group students’ marks in the two applications; the pre and post, and that is for the measurement of environmental responsibility as a whole, in favor of the post application.
