Abstract
The present investigation was carried out at the Exp. Farm of Fac. of Agric., Minia University during the successive seasons 2011 to 2014. The aim of the study was to improve an exotic maize population by one cycle of S1 lines and top crosses procedures using two testers.
The genetic material was the yellow exotic population TY 176 (Toeke Yellow South Africa) and the two testers, i.e., Sakha 21 (T1) and TWC 352 (T2). These material were kindly provided by National Maize Research Program (NMRP), Field Crops Res. Institute, ARC.
