Abstract
This work aims to synthesize some peptides derivatives having
quinazoline moiety to study their biological activity. Thus, Peptide bond
was prepared from quinazoline via reaction of quinazoline derivatives 1
and 2, K2CO3, dry acetone, with ethyl chloroacetate afforded 3 and 4 in
68-72% yields, followed by treatment with hydrazine hydrate to yield 5
and 6 in 85-87% yields, respectively.
A solution of 5 and 6 in AcOH, 1N HCl, and H2O was cooled then treated
with a solution of the appropriate amino acid ethyl ester hydrochloride in ethyl
acetate to afford 7a,b and 8a,b in 75–80% yields.
