المستخلص The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between organizational cynicism dimensions and work alienation dimensions and to determine whether the dimensions of cynicism and alienation differ according to the demographic characteristics of Mansoura University Staff Members and their Assistants or not. To achieve the purpose of the study, a survey has been designed to collect data. The study is conducted on 357 participants in Mansoura University. Findings of the study revealed that cognitive dimension of organizational cynicism had a positive effect on Powerlessness, Meaninglessness, Self-Estrangement, and Social Isolation and Normlessness dimensions of alienation. Affective dimension of organizational cynicism had a positive effect on Powerlessness, Self-Estrangement, Social Isolation and Normlessness dimensions of alienation. Behavioral dimension of organizational cynicism had a positive effect on Meaninglessness and normlessness dimensions of alienation. Besides, it was observed that the organizational cynicism and work alienation do not differ according to gender, Academic Accreditation and faculty Classification, except for age, Length of service and Grade. In conclusion, the phenomenon of organizational cynicism causes the employees to get work alienated. |
