Abstract
Since ancient times Al Jabal Al AKhdar region was the focus of attention of the various ancient civilizations. The great civilizations of the Greeks and Romans had founded and established cities of high planning in terms of social, legal, and administrative institutions were competed with the oldest major cities in ancient history. In order to succeed, the development of this part of Libya, the development process needs to be carefully planned to avoid the effects of the geoenvironmental impacts caused by non-organized land use. Typically, problems may arise when the development process is rushed, taking little or no consideration of the geoenviromental conditions. Obviously, the land use planning based on Earth-science information can significantly reduce the costs of development and the risks of losses of investment and productivity due to damage of properties and loss of life, and can contribute also in improvement of the urban environment through achieving conservation objectives.
