Abstract The main aim of this thesis is to obtain new exact soliton, periodic and kink solutions of some nonlinear partial differential equations. The thesis consists of five chapters : In chapter one, we present some basic concepts which will be used through out this thesis. Also it shows the historical survey on some different methods which are used for obtaining the solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations and conservation laws. Finally, it contains a description of under-study problem. In chapter two, we use the improved (G′/G) -expansion method to obtain exact solutions of the modified equal width (MEW) equation, modified Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (MBBM) equation and system of coupled equations. Some new traveling wave solutions involving parameters, expressed by three types of functions which are the hyperbolic functions, the trigonometric functions and the rational functions. The solitary wave solutions are derived -#102;-#114;-#111;-#109; the hyperbolic function solutions. |
