Abstract Tombs in the two regions express their architecture and art of the Middle Kingdom, which oscillate between the traditional art of the Old Kingdom of Memphis, which appeared in the tombs of El-Bersheh, and the provincial governors of Meir and their desire to establish an independent art school with independent features and a desire to show off the art of the regions but by using the same themes. This thesis attempts to discern the similarities and differences between the Middle Kingdom tombs at Meir and El Bersheh regarding the fact that both sites are in middle Egypt having almost the same circumstances. |
