Abstract
The study concluded that addition of dexmedetomidine to bupivacaine significantly reduced postoperative pain and demand for rescue analgesics. as compared to that in the group treated with bupivacaine alone without any significant increase in side effects in postoperative pain analgesia using continuous wound infusion technique after open inguinal hernia repair.
