-This research aims at studying the dilatation of the inherited and innovated customs and traditions and making full use of it in innovating innovated metallic ornaments which enrich the field of studying metallic works . the research included six chapters :-
First Chapter :- ”Research Thesis”
This chapter included the research definition its problem hypotheses aims importance and limits . it also includes a general view about the thesis method and procedures previous and related studies and definition of the thesis terms.

Second Chapter :- ”Studying Customs and Traditions and Popular beliefs”
-This chapter included defining and classifying customs .
Popular traditions and popular heritage beliefs and knowledge and different definitions of folklore with studying some cases of folklore science which includes
1. popular beliefs and knowledge .
2. customs and traditions and rituals
I presented the customs and traditions of rural women associated with wearing of ornaments and her customs
And traditions in ornaments possession and also customs and traditions Related to the appearance of mascots and eumulets ( food . gin . envy . Optimism and pessimism magic . astrology . marriage ) it included Some popular practices to protect children from envy .Third chapter :- ”Culture nations memory (Folklore and its relation with culture )”
-This chapter included culture definition its types components and its styles the egyption society traits and character cultural effects and ideas
and beliefs which influenced the popular practices were show . from them ( patriarchs – supernatural creatures - popular medicine- dreams – about human body )
it also included the time element in popular beliefs and also believing in upper and bottom creatures entry and exit rituals and optimism and pessimism .also it handled social environment popular arts inherited experience and its relation to culture popular culture traditional arts and culture and innovation between individuality and collectivity also the factors which lead to the appearance of popular arts it dealt also with modernism its definition and its relation to popular art modernism traits and features

and cultural communication it handled also ornaments and its relation to popular proverbs these concepts were applied to al.buhaira governorate studying field .
Fourth chapter :- ”Popular Symbols connotations and benefiting from it in popular ornaments”
-This chapter deals with symbolism and its development symbol in popular and its evolution and development .
it also includes the technical characteristic of popular symbol classifying of symbols and beliefs and their connotations – also it included the mast important symbolic forms and how to benefit from it in making innovated
ornaments . from them :-
1. animal decorations and symbols.
2. human body decorations .
3. botanical symbols.

5. dogmatic decorations.
6. colorimetric symbols .
7. writing decorations .
8. human units which are abstracted from popular stories and different occupations.
It also handled items and symbols in the form of mascots and amulets . from them items from geometric origin items from mans innovations and items which were issued from cultural dogmatic and historical origins is it the memory of the nation.
Fifth Chapter :- ”Popular ornaments in the Egyptian Country .side description and analysis of ”
-It included counting and classifying of ornaments . jewelry and metallic supplements ( ornaments formulated from precious and non . precious metals . jewelry .supplements and ornaments formulated from other metals and materials )

Also kinds of popular amaments ( toiletry ( makahd ) ornaments head wear * silver comb lattice veils )
It also in cultural and dogmatic effects related to amulets and mascots ( amulets and mascots ( al – hamael )- spells – ( ruqyah ) – talisman – mascots- mascots and magic – amulets ) and functional sides of mascots and amulets :-
1. mascots and amulets of the head (earrings – veils )

Sixth chapter :- ”Techniques tools and forming ways used in producing metallic ornaments ”

-This chapter included the application aim and forming ways used in application such as forming ways surface treatment and welding and linking ways
it handled the materials and tools which the researcher used in their applications and definitions it handled the forming ways used in ( shefteshy ) ornaments the material used such as copper brass and silver and ways used in forming such as :-
1. cutting and shearing using scissors and pliers.
2. sawing and filing.
3. curving and flexing and different flexing ways.
4. forming ad wrapping pipes manually.
5. pulling process its definition its steps pulling wires process and steps followed to pull a piece of metal into a wire.
6. plaiting and twisting process.
7. working way of armor.
8. working way of diameter.

It explained linking of ornaments and some different linking ways, from them:-
1. chets pin links.
2. bracelets and necklaces links.
3. hinges and bracelets locks.
It handled vaulting (raboseah ) raboseah instruments .it handled finishing and its processes cleansing of works surfaces such as ( sanding – pumice – polishing liquid- aljamath )
it handled polishing and smoothing works and conditions that must be taken into consideration to have a good welding, it includes the self experiment of the researcher which is embodied in a group of jewelry that achieves the research goals besides acknowledging results and recommendations of the research.
