Abstract A total number of 100 clinicaly healthy balady gos t s of both sexes were involved in this investigation. female goats showed no reproductive activities. the animals were grouped and subgrouped into the following: group .l : comprised 50 goats: this group was used for the immediate measuring of serum parameters after serum separation. group ii : comprised of 50 goats and were used to study the effect of sampling technique processing of sampling and storage of sample at different degree of temperature and also the effect of transportation of the samples on some serum parameters. the second group was subdivided in...to:_ 1. collected blood samples used to study the effect of storage of serum on some serum parameters. this ~s carried by collected the blood samples and separation of serum. then serum was divided into 3 parts : tlj. the first part stored at -20 0c for one week. l2) • 0 the second part stored at - 20 0 for two weeks. <:3). the third part stored at _2uoc for j weeks. after the storage serum was analyzed for some serum parameters. 2. blood samples were collected to study the hemolytic effect of transportation on the serum hemoglobin and consequently on some serum parameters. j. blood samples collected and stored at 400 for 24 hour , then serum was separated as previously mentioned methods and used for further biochemic~l analysis. recorded results could be summarized as follows :- a). for immediate meesurments the mean value of serum nemog-, lobin was 141.516 .± 3.54~ ~, s-oot1i8s 32.~j .± 1.495 uil. serum total bilirubin 5.d9 .± 0.448 ulii01/l, serum tota1 protein was fjj.b’( .± 2.0m gil, iron was 2~.1&j± 1.215 um:>l/l, glucose was 3.84 .± u.j40 mmo1/l. sodium in serum was 149.18 ± 1.639 =011 3.31 ± u.140 mmol/~. and potassium in serum was b). l<’orstorage of the sample for one weeks at - 200c the mean value of serum hemoglobin was 113.06 ± 8.19 mglo s-got was 25.8 ± 0.819 u/.l, serum total bilirubin was 4.598 ± 1.021 umol/l, serum total protein was 59.99 ± 3.917 gil,•• .iron in serum was 13.134 ± 1.488 umol/.l. . - glucose was 6.035 ± 0.892 mmol/l, sodium in serum wbs 148.16 ± 0.959 mmol/l. and potassium in serum was 2.58 ± 0.054 mmol/l. c). storbge of samples for two weeks at _20°c the mean value of serum hemogaobin was 110.03 ± 7.297 mg%serum glutamic oxalacitic transamenase (s-got) was 43.2 ± 3.486 u/l, serum totel bilirubin was 2.31 ± 1.01 umol/l serum total protein was 59.21 ± 1.969 gil, iron in serum was 10.78 ± 1.192 umol/l, serum glucose was 5.346 ± 0.684 mmol/l, sodiumin serum was 127.34 ± 1.634 wnolll. and potassium in serum was 2.69 ± 0.054 mmolll. d). storage of samples for three weeks at _20°c showed that the mean value of serum hemoglobin was 105.23 ± 9. 87 mg{~, serum glutamic o:mlacitic transaminase s-gotwas 52.7 ± 4.611 u/l , serum total bil1rubinwas 0.28 ± 0.197 umol/l, serum total protein was 70.06 ± 1.857 gil, iron in serum was 27.86 ± 1.319 umol/l, glucose in serum was 5.31 ± 0.987 - , mmolll, sodiwiiin serum was 132.34 ± 1.634 mmollland potessium in serul\ was 3.26 + 0.076 mmo1il. e). samples anelyzed to study the effect of transportation of the samples revebled thbt the mean value of serum hemoglobin was 166.225 ± 13.336 mg%, serum glutamic oxa lec ltlc transamenases t s-gjt) was 26.5 ± 1.075 uil. |
