Abstract
The area under study is located at the southernmost part of the syrian are structures in sinai and extends from the suez rift in the west to jabal boudia in the east . itrepresent an oxerlap zone between the syrian arc and the Suez rift structures . the stratigraphic succession in study area can be subdivided into two major groups depending on tectonic and stratigraphic aspects. the pre-rift groups comprising the cretaceous and paleogen succession while the syn-rift group including the miocene rock unies.
