المستخلص The aim of the study is to discover the role of Secondary Education in the development of Human Rights concepts among the students in The Republic of Yemen, and to put a suggested conception to activate such role. • The researcher used the descriptive approach that depends on describing and analyzing related phenomena. • The study reached the following results: • total number of paragraphs to the history books for the three grades combined was (2485) paragraph, the number of paragraphs that contain the concepts of human rights for all three rows were (479), the axis of the concepts of political and civil rights had the highest rate (9.94%), followed by the axis of economic and social rights by (4.99%) for the total number of items for all classes in high school and then comes the axis of the concepts of culture and education, by 4.35%) • Thus, the percentage of the total number of paragraphs that contain the concepts of human rights for three seasons combined was (19.28%) which is very low, and it is not enough represented in high school history curriculum in accordance with the standard approach in the current study. • results of the analysis showed that some of the concepts of human rights was included in the content of history curricula at the secondary school but not for every row, and there is a disparity in the order of the size of the inclusion of human rights concepts in the content of history curricula for high school grades. • The results indicate that those who put history curricula neglected the inclusion of some of the concepts of human rights in the content of the history curriculum for secondary school. • students’ responses to the sample analysis expressed general high awareness of secondary education contribution to the awareness and the development of concepts of human rights they have, and the right of equality, and there is no discriminatory practice among the students, - ٨ - whether by administration or teachers. • The sample of students of general secondary education said that public high school gave them the right to freedom of expression with a medium degree. This highlights that the power represented by the school management and teachers put their hands on this freedom and it is always refrain from pre-school. • The responses of the students of secondary education expressed medium degree of the enjoyment of the right of humane treatment in high school. • The response of the sample came from the students of general secondary education degree expressed medium degree to verify that the reality is not satisfactory about the secondary education doing his duties to make secondary school education within the school directed towards the development of respect for human rights in the hearts of learners and this reflects the lack of knowledge of the learner within the school that they have guaranteed protected rights as human beings. |
