Abstract
Number of Ornamental fish 567 fish were examened for presence of parasites since October 2008 till September 2009 and they are :-
Pterophyllum scalare -Poecila sphenops- Poecilia reticulata-
Xiphophorus helleri .
Gills – Vesra and External surface are examiend for detection of internal
parasites that affecting ornamental fish .
Results show types of parasites are :-
Icthiopherus -Trichodina – Dactylogyrus - with Prevalance 7%- 9%- 10%
Infection rate increses in spring and summer while decreses in autum and
winter insted of warming water .
High incedenae in fish appers in types :-
Pterophyllum scalare -Poecila sphenops- Poecilia reticulata-
Xiphophorus helleri .
Collecting parasites were Isolated – Fixied –– Classifid - Measrued and
photographed
With studing of epidemiology all over the year that coincides with the
presence of parasites in relation to some factors as the temperature ,
ventillation of the aquarium, and its hyigene.
