المستخلص SUMMERY The problem of the study is defined in the following questions :- 1- What are the requirements of Health Education that should be taken into account in designing the curricula presented to the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage? 2- To What extent are these requirements available in the curricula presented to the educable me•..ntally retarded at the primary stage? 3- What is the suggested program that includes these . requirements in the presented curricula? PROCEDURES OF THE RESEARCH To answer the questions of the research, the research went through the following pr~edures:- 1- Evaluating the curricula presented to the educable mentally retarded pupils. the primary stage through: ... (1) Preparing a list of the main fiel,ds of Health Education that should be included in the curricula of the educable mentaIJy retarded pupils at the primary stage. (2) Preparing a list of the general aims of Health Education that should be included in the curricula of the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage. (3) Preparing a list of criteria of the evaluating the curricula- aims and content- of the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage. (4) Evaluating the general and operational aims of the curricula presented to the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage. (5) Evaluating the content of the curricula presented to the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage. II- Preparing a suggested program for including some Health Education requirements in the curricula of the Educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage through:- 1) Preparing the general aims of the suggests program. 2)Preparing the operational .aims of the suggested program. . \ 3) Preparing the content of the suggested program. 4) Determing the content of the course that can include the subjects of the COfltent of the program. The present research reached the following results: 1- Preparing a list of the main fields of health education and its subfactors that should be included in the curricula of the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage. The list included five main fields:- 1- Personal health. 2- Enviromental health. 3- Balance nutrition. 4- Avoiding sources of infections, and preventing. diseases. 5- Safety and prevention of accidents and. injuries. 1I- Evaluating the aims and content of the curricula of the educable mentally retarded pupils at the primary stage revealed that the aims and content of the present curricula do not help in achieving the aims of the Health Education. ’(III) Preparing a suggested program of Health Education and integrating it with the curricula of the educable mentally retarded at the primary stage through:- 1- Preparing the general aims of the program. 2- Preparing the operational aims of the program. 3- Preparing the content of the program. 4-Determining the content of the couse that can include the subjects of the eot*Dt of the program. |
