Abstract In the present study 17 isolates obtained from diarrhoeic sheep were itified morphologically, culturally and biochemically. Then were fully typed and investigated for antibacterial susceptibility ,virulence factors and ction of virulence plasmid. The serotyping of 17 recovered Salmonella isolates from diarrhoic sheep, of which (1.1%) were recognized as S. Heidelberg; 3 (0.79%) as S. typhi A , 2 (0.53%) as S. Bardo , 2 (.053%) as S. Kentucky. Moreover, S. iimurium, S. Breanderup, S. Enterititidis and S. Agama were recovered at a )[0.26% (one isolated from each serovar). The sensitivity pattern of the Salmonella isolates of sheep was done to mize the antibacterial agent to which they are susceptible ,intermediately :ptible or resistant . All of the examined isolates were sensitive to floxacin(lOO%) oxytetracycline (100%), norfloxacin(lOO%) enrofloxacin 10), chloramphenicol (100%) and flumquine(100%). s present study, testing of 17 isolated Salmonellae revealed that presence sitive amplicons in 14 (83%) samples. Virulence gene spread in 9 (52l%) 17 strains indicating that virulence factor found to be less spread among isolates. On examining isolated Salm011 ella, a successful isolation of id was performed. As 11 (64%) strains hold a plasmid. |
