Abstract This study aims to evaluate the effect of biotic factors like antimicrobial activity of actinomycete isolates and environmental factors such as heavy metals and food preservatives on the growth and drug resistance of some food borne pathogenic bacteria. The objectives of the present study are: 1- Isolation, purification and identification of some pathogenic bacteria contaminating different food sources (beef, sausage, poultry, white cheese and raw milk). 2- Studying the susceptibility of isolated food borne pathogenic bacteria to different antibiotics to select the multiple drug resistant isolates. 3- Extraction and determination of the plasmid profile of the selected multiple drug resistant bacteria. 4- Determination of MICs and MBCs of some chemical pollutants such as heavy metals and food preservatives to multiple drug resistant bacteria. 5- Quantitative determination of heavy metals residues in examined food samples. 6- Isolation and purification of some actinomycetes from different soil samples. 7- Screening for the most bioactive actinomycetes against the selected multidrug resistant bacteria. 8- Identification of most potent actinomycetes using biochemical tests, electron microscopy and molecular analyses. . |
