Abstract A crossed-beam apparatus was built to investigate the optical excitation function and the polarization of the>Cal line A,=468.526 nm (e^B^p’Pi) & X=504.162nm(6p1P,^3d1D2); Znll lines X=4U.94 nm (VS’SIC-^PJA) and Sri line X=460.7 nm (S’P^S^o) I excited by electron impact. The measurements were carried out in the electron energy range from threshold to 200 eV. The present measurements for the optical excitation function and polarization are compared with the previous theoretical and experimental data The agreement between the present data and the previous published work is good enough and prove the accuracy of our photon detector i channel for future polarization measurements. |
