Abstract Probiotics is Considered one of the most important feed additives of poultry ; it is a potent immunostimulant , composed of living micro-organisms have many health benefits and here in this study proved to modulate the immune response in poultry by several ways One hundred (1 day old ) Hubbard broiler chicks were alloted to 5 groups . Each group consists of 20 chick The fk group ‘I’ were Avi-Bac fed (500 g I ton of starter feed ) The second group ‘2’ were Bioplus 2B fed ( I000g / ton of starter feed) . The thjt:d group ‘3’ were Biovet-YC fed (500 g / ton of feed) The fourth group ‘4’ was feeding on ordinary starter ration , this group represents control positive. The fifth group ‘5’ represents control negative chicks that were neither vaccinated nor fed with probiotic The first 4 groups were vaccinated with a vaccination program and reared for days. The following parameters are used to evaluate the effect of probiotics as an immunostimulant: 1. Measuring the humeral immune response of chicken a- To NDV and AIV by HI test b- To IBDV by ELISA test. c- Probiotic effect on B- cell function / production of antibodies by Heam-agglutination Inhibition Test (HI) with 2-Mercaptoethanol (2-ME) treated sera. 2. Measuring of the cell - mediated immune response by: a- Lymphocyte Transformation test. b- Determination of the phagocytic activity of chicken peripheral blood monocytes (PBM) using C. albicans. 3. studying the effect of probiotic on the weight of chicken bursa. |
