Abstract Aim of the work: The aim of this work is to evaluate the seroprevalence of HCV antibody in randomly selected residents of EL-Berka village, Mallawy district, in EL-Minia Governorate as little is known about HCV infection in our territory. Conclusions: We concluded that the seroprevalence of HCV antibodies in EL-Berka village in EL-Minia Governorate is 20.4% which is common in higher ages with past history of blood transfusion and jaundice and these individuals are commonly associated with elevated serum ALT levels and some complications occurs when abdominal ultrasonography had done which liver cirrhosis, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, hepatosplenomegaly or ascites. |
