Abstract
Aim of the work
To clarify the role of nerve growth factor (NGF) in allergic and inflammatory lung diseases.
In conclusion, there is a strong association between NGF receptors on isolated eosinophils and allergic, inflammatory lung diseases; bronchial asthma.
Recommendations: more extended studies by increasing the size of the sample are needed to clarify this association between NGF and allergic inflammatory lung diseases. However, circulating NGF levels can be assayed in serum to prove this association.
