Abstract The aim of our work is to study the value of urodynamics in evaluation of cases of BPH and in diagnosis of infravesical obstruction associated with BPH, also to study the relation between urodynamic parameters and other findings associated with BPH which may explain the outcome after prostatectomy. Conclusion: Patients with upper urinary tract dilation was found to be associated with more residual urine, higher premicturation detrusor pressure and higher maximum detrusor pressure than in patients without upper urinary tract dilatation. No significant difference was found, in our study, in the outcome after TURP and after transvesical prostatectomy, subjectively or from the urodynamic point of view. |
