Abstract Presence of harmonics in power systems leds to several harmful effete. The most serious effeets is the harmonic yesonance, which has led to failure of cables insulations, damage of reetifier and inverter circuits and loss service continulties and deficlencles of power systems elenomies. Harmonic resonances can arise at any time lue to unpredictable operational gnditions such as lagging variations, system manipulation, generators autages addition of new circults, … etc, harmonic resonance in any firm can arise from mainiplation at neighbor customers or neighbor firms or lue to presence of harm onic voltages initated by other loads connelted to the same (PCC) bus. This thesis concerns with three questions: How to deteet hav monic resonances? Which are the harmonic resonaces orders at varcous operational conditions in load ings, manip ulations of lines and cables andin harmonic sources?, and method of famping of sued resonances, Application to an important industrial firm suffering from that unpredictable phenomena is the goal of the thesis. |
