Abstract Aim of the work: The present study has been designed to compare the efficacy of two techniques for postoperative pain relief after elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The first technique is the preoperative intrathecal injection of small doses of lidocaine and fentanyl. The second technique is the intraperitoneal injection of bupivacaine and lidocaine in the gallbladder bed at the end of surgery. In addition to the analgesic efficacy, other advantages or side effects related to either of the techniques will be also compared. |
