Abstract

Aim of the work
The aim of this work is to identify the role of Anti Annexin V (A5) antibodies ”IgG” in females with post intra cytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) implantation failure of good quality embryo.
Summary and conclusion

The aim of this study was to identify the role of Anti Annexin v (A5) IgG Anti bodies in females with failed post ICSI embryo transfer.
The present study included 70 females in reproductive age with infertility that had done ICSI in Minia Infertility Research Unit (MIRU), Minia University in the period from March, 2008 to December, 2008. They were divided into2 groups:
Group I:
Included 35 females with successful implantation of good quality embryo as a control group, their ages ranged from 19 to 35 years.
Group II:
Included 35 females with failed implantation of good quality embryo, their ages ranged from 20 to 40 years.
There were no significant differences between both groups in all variables
We concluded that Anti Annexin V antibodies level in plasma can not be used as an independent risk factor for implantation failure yet it should not be completely ignored as a small percentage of patients of group 2 (8.6%) were positive for anti Annexin V antibodies with no other explanation for their implantation failure.
