Abstract SUMMAR)’ AND CONCLUSION Three field trails were carried out during two successive summer ons of 1996 and 1997 on cowpea cv. ”Cream 7” plants at Shandaweel iculture Research Station, Sohag Governorate, Egypt. The first trail ed to study the effect of irrigation i.e. three irrigation regimes applied 12,24 and 36 days intervals i.e. 8, 4 and 3 irrigations and four levels of assium fertilization i.e. 0, 50, 100 and 150 kg K20/fed. on growth, Id and yield components of cowpea cv. ”Cream 7” plants. The second eriment was established to study the beneficial effects of four levels phosphorus fertilization i.e. 0, 30, 45 and 60 kg P20s/fed and foliar y with Greenzit i.e. once, twice and three sprays on the previously tioned characters. Therefore, the third investigation was designed as attempt to investigate the possible use of the Bradyrhizoubium sp. and icular arbuscular mycorrhiza as an effective alternative for the The first and second trails were arranged in a split in completely randomized block design. However, the third trail ged in complete randomized blocks design. The almost similar . ed results in both seasons could summarized as follows: Experiment I of irrigation and potassium fertilization on cowpea yield and interval i.e. 12 day interval significantly d plant height in both seasons of study. However, extending the ’on interval to 24 days or 36 days decreased plant height. |
