Abstract r’ ;.-., , ~ : \(,’. ylon-6 fltle! s qr(-o~te(j \Vill, GMA were treated using different arniru-s (t\Jf-h EA, DEA, and TE/”-). Tile effect of the amination reaction conditions on the yield has been studied Tile kinetic of the reactions was studied hy HIe aio of Cl mathematical model, which show that the reaction is a first order reaction with respect to both amine and epoxide concentration. The rate constant of the reactions and activation energy values were also calculated The thermal properties of the aminated fibers were measured using differential thermal analysis. X-ray diffraction patterns for both aminated and unaminated fibers were also studied. The properties of the aminated fibers showed an increase In its moisture regains, its acid dyeability, while it showed a decrease in its tenacity, young modulus and breaking elongation. The aminated fiber gains a maximum anion exchange capacity about 1.6 meq/g via amination by DEA at optimum conditions. |
