Abstract
In this study is aimed to select the most accurate and rapid and cheep method for pregnancy in sheep specially at the early stage of gestation and thus to avoid incidence of abortion slaughtering of pregnant females and replacement of the female of lower fertilizing capacity by female with high fertilizing capacity which improve the income for the farmsThis study is carried out on 156 case from ( farm of faculty of veterinarian medicine – Zagazig university - farm in abo kabir sherkia ) have been examined for pregnancy diagnosis by using of 4 method which include 1. Ultrasonography2. abdominal palpation3. vaginal smear 4. pregnancy specific antigen Ultrasonography pregnancy has been diagnosed by trans rectal Ultrasonography and trans abdominal Ultrasonography in different stages of gestation with fasting of the animal lifting of the abdomen as soon as possible and the examination revealed that trans rectal Ultrasonography can be diagnose pregnancy within day 35 of gestation and then trans abdominal Ultrasonography can diagnose pregnancy from day 35 on word by increase days of gestation the accuracy of Ultrasonography is increased and also the ultrasonographic examination can determine the sex and number and viability of the fetus in side the uterus Vaginal smear vaginal smear has been taken in different stages of pregnancy and fixed with methyle alechol and stained with Methylene blue and examined under high power of microscope .
