Abstract Cephalosporin antibiotics are widely prescribed for common infections such as bronchitis, otitis media, pneumonia, and cellulitis. They are also administrated as first- line prophylaxis for many types of surgical procedures. The present study was conducted to throw the light on the effect of cefquinome on experimentally vaccinated goats with Covexin 8 with regarding to their effect on the specific and non- specific immune response, haematological and biochemical profilesExperimental design: Twenty -four male healthy goats of average weight about 20- 25 kg. Pre-experimental period extended for one week through which animals were subjected to clinical examination to ensure sound physiological activities. Animals were classified into four equal groups, 6 goats each. 1 st group receive no medication and serve as Parallel control. 2nd group received cefquinome in a dose of 1.1 mg I kg h. w.I/M. for five successive days. 3rd group received Covexin 8 in a dose of 2 ml/goat subcutaneously. 4th group received cefquinome in a dose of 1.1 mg I kg b. w.
