Abstract Assuredly, drug -drug interaction plays a pivotal substantial role in predicting and providing a clue to the aftermath of their pharmacological effect and therapeutic outcome. Stemmed from the previous conceit, it has been urged that the combination of both bactericidal and bacteiostatic antibiotic give a way to a futile results. Nevertheless, field studies yielded a controversy findings. In keeping with these lines, the combination of erythromycin and amoxicillin seems a promising approach to their high efficiency in practice. The present study aims to spot the light on the therapeutic efficiency of the concurrent administration of erythromycin and amoxicillin for treating E.coli infection in chickens with regard to its effect on clinical signs, mortality rate, body weight gain, gain%, some liver and kidney functions, blood picture as well as histopathological study. :Jln-vitro Antimicrobial Activity: The MIC for erythromycin and amoxicillin against E.coli 078 (using serial dilution tube technique) were found to be 128 ug/ml and |
