Abstract The aim of this study was to assess urinary RBP in SLE patients with and without evidence of renal disease. The study also aimed to find out if urinary RBP could indicate subclinical nephropathy and if its measurement might have a role in the early diagnosis and subsequent monitoring of renal disease in SLE. They were all females, their ages ranged between 6 to 18 years, with a mean age of 14.4 ± 3.6 years. The mean duration of their illness was 4.4 ± 2.8 years.
