Abstract
A systematic study of the effects of variations of the porcelain composition its firing temperature and use of improving additives on its physical and electrical insulation characteristics 15 carried out the study aims to manufacture a porcelain insulator of standard size from the best selected porcelain material previous investigations are concerned with porcelain mixes of limited composition variations and prepared from foreign raw materialS numerous disc-shaped specimens are prepared according to each of the selected mixes the microscopic structure of the fired porcelain body is shown to affect its properties a pin type insulator is manufactured and tested.
